Sir Paul McCartney plans to marry his fiancée Nancy Shevell 'imminently'.
The former Beatle and the American heiress flew from New York to the UK last week to finalise the details for their intimate ceremony. It is believed they will tie the knot in front of close family and friends at Paul's farmhouse in Sussex, South East England.
'They will be marrying imminently,' a source told British newspaper The Mirror. 'They are very excited and almost everything is in place. Friends and family have been put on standby.'
Nancy is believed to have told pals that she would be getting married sometime 'after Labor Day' and the nuptials could take place in the next month.
It has been reported she was keen to marry in her home US city, but agreed to have the ceremony at Paul's UK home.
'Nancy would have liked to get married in New York, but she knew an English wedding would make Paul happy,' the source added. 'n the end they decided to marry in the UK and have a party for all their American friends at their home in the Hamptons later. I don't think I've ever seen a couple so besotted with each other.'
Chairs and boxes of champagne flutes have been spotted arriving at the music star's 933 acre estate. Paul and Nancy will be returning to America soon for the opening of the 69-year-old rocker's ballet collaboration Ocean's Kingdom.
The pair began dating in 2007 and announced their engagement in May. They have chosen rings from exclusive Los Angeles jeweller Neil Lane.
This will be Paul's third marriage. He wed his first wife Linda in 1969, but she died of breast cancer in 1998. He tied the knot with Heather Mills in 2002, with the pair's bitter divorce battle being finalised in 2008.
Nancy was previously married to American lawyer Bruce Blakeman.
